Oh. Em. Gee. Finally tried savory oats.
They rocked. My. World.
Orange You Glad I Made Squash Oats?

Combine oats, water, and squash. Cook on medium til all is absorbed. Top with egg, fried to runny-yolked perfection, and cheese, broken into melty chunks.
Sweet squash+ hearty oats+ oozing yolk+ melty salty cheese= OH. EM. GEE.
Also had a Dunkies latte on the way home from church :D

I still haven't made savory oats, but they are on my "must make" list. Yours look and sound great! :)
Looks good. I would have never thought to do that -- delish!
Wow, such a fabulous dish! I haven't made savory oats yet, but you incredible recipe has definitely converted me! :-) I love the idea of putting an egg on top!
I lived on the east coast for five years and grew to love the dunk, so as you can imagine I am STOKED that one is opening today a half mile from my apartment!
Very original! I'm not a big oats gal but I see lots of you guys eating them and i've never seen them made with squash - glad you liked!
Aren't savoury oats bangin'?! Love em! And they're so versatile, you can do so many different combos and the dish is still practically fail proof!
Oh, I am intrigued! I can't remember ever having savory oats...'cept in my meatloaf...if that counts. Sounds yummy :)
