summer memories

Meet my new constant companion.

DSCF3141

Free thermos bay-bay! I’ve had 3 cups of tea today. No signs of stopping. Rooibos; blackcurrant; and English breakfast with lemon and honey (I had a suspiciously froggy throat- I will will will not get sick during finals week!) Now I’m eyeing my sweet coconut thai chai.

Obviously it is vair cold outside. A long scarf is necessary. Preferably foot length (I am so not as good as Ms. Snackface at the mirror shot)

Also, soup is nice:

And muffins, and fruit and veg for scurvy prevention.

I knew I was going to appreciate that soup making bonanza I had.

But rather than just show soup, soup, and more soup (I’m a one track eater of late), let’s talk SUMMER FOOD!

I ate really well this summer. Why? I went to Greece. Furthermore, I went to Greece when I almost had no blog readers. But I love my Greece posts! I read them when I’m cold! So I’m going to re-link to them, and hope now perhaps some more people can enjoy them as much as I do!

Greece is a great place. You never know what will happen!

danger!

This picture of me and the sis is from Sumeria Gorge in Crete, where we hiked 11 miles and then enjoyed an insanely delicious lunch and insanely perfect beach. (And yes, we avoided the “DANGER!”)

There’s lunch at a dreamy outdoor cafe in Thissio, a seriously cool Athens neighborhood.

I took my camera on a tour of a Greek neighborhood, complete with local pastries!

We visited the ruins at Delphi and caught up with our Greek family. They fed us. A LOT.

I explored the unreal market and beautiful harbor in  Chania.

We went crazy on awesome hotel buffets.

We ate MAYBE my favorite meal of Greece? In Rhethymno, on the cliffside, by the Venetian ruins, in Crete. Ahh.

We visited what the guidebooks called the most beautiful beach in Crete.

And our final night we went crazy on cheese, fried food, and wine on a chill Athenian Friday night.

Enjoy, and think warm thoughts, loveys!

Hey girl! Thanks for your comment on my cookies! You should totally make them and let me know how they turn out for ya! Completely with you on the never-ending cups of tea. I like to interchange them with hot water and lemon just for variety, but it never stops:) I'm ok with that! xoxo
