As I sat down to eat this, I couldn’t remember the last time I had a hummus tasting platter. Which is ridiculous, because there have been periods of time in my life when I have lived on them.
Today’s:
The rest of the free hummus package- about 1/4 cup of the hums and pita chips which ROOOOOOCKED even though they weren’t whole grain and were devoid of fiber, eesh. But I got my fiber in with green pepper, carrots, and apple. No, I didn’t dip the apple in the hummus. Not quite that hardcore.
Crunch!
I was thinking I didn’t have much of an appetite, plus I wasn’t really in the mood for anything else, so I just had this. But nope. Seriously, my body just needs a substantial lunch. It’s just how I roll. If I make a small lunch, I then eat more than the equivalent of a substantial lunch in mindless, unsatisfying snackage. Live and learn.
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and was in a rotten mood all day UNTIL I went to the gym. Awesome/frightening how my brain’s neurotransmitters are definitely, DEFINITELY affected by cardiac exercise.
That looks like a wonderful plate of healthy goodness!
ReplyDeleteHummus is one spread I just can't get myself to love. I've heard a company makes dessert hummuses now, which I'd love to try. That sounds like more my taste
ReplyDeleteI love little platters like that. They are so much more fun to eat than the standard sandwich. :)
ReplyDeleteI love tasting plates!! That looks a lot like my lunches lately, plus it's fun to have all that munching. Exercise always makes me feel much better too :) Yes, I would scale back on tracking kcal expenditure if it's driving you crazy :), I just do it every once in awhile. Focusing on just being active is good enough for me!
