So boy keeps asking to see my blog and I keep being like “… it’s pictures of new toppings I put on my oatmeal. It is really not exciting”.
So yes, this morning’s post is literally new toppings I put on my oatmeal, hahaha.
What is it about food blogs that makes that so interesting? I love other peoples’ oatmeal topping posts!
Today, into the pot went
leftover baked apple slices (about 1/4 an apple), chopped
raisins and craisins (probably 1.5 or 2 T total)
1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup plus a splash (for the dried fruit) water
After cooking, toppings were
1.5 T or so salty mixed nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews) from trail mix
drizzle of cranapple butter!
Marvy and fabbity fab! Sweet, salty, chewy, crunchy, and tangy!
Yum! We had a similar breakfast -- pumpkin oatmeal. I was surprised our kids ate as much as they did (and pleased). Will have to put some nuts in next time.
